Case Study, CISVA Website Transformation

www.careers-catholiceducation.com

2024

CISVA needed to attract top teaching talent in a highly competitive market. Previously, job postings were distributed via third-party job boards and generic links. This approach exposed candidates to competitors’ opportunities and offered no mechanism to differentiate CISVA’s value, build a talent pipeline, or retarget prospective applicants.

Without a centralized careers hub or dedicated recruitment strategy, CISVA risked losing quality applicants to competing school systems and was unable to measure or optimize candidate engagement.

Challenge

How can CISVA shift from reactive job board postings to a strategic recruitment platform that highlights its unique value, attracts qualified educators worldwide, and converts interest into applications while enabling long-term talent pipeline growth?

Solution

I independently designed and launched a dedicated careers website and recruitment ecosystem. This included building the careers landing page, implementing SEO, running targeted ad campaigns, setting up retargeting funnels, and integrating immigration pathways to make CISVA globally competitive.

1. Website Design & Development

  • Built www.careers-catholiceducation.com as a branded, centralized careers hub.

  • Structured job listings to be searchable and easy to navigate.

  • Positioned CISVA’s mission, values, and community benefits up front to differentiate from competitors.

  • Added clear calls-to-action (Apply Now, Learn More) to drive conversion.

2. Recruitment Advertising & Funnel Creation

  • Produced Meta ad campaigns (video reels and visuals) that drove qualified traffic directly to the careers site.

  • Installed the Meta Pixel to track engagement and enable retargeting campaigns for users who visited but didn’t apply.

  • Captured candidate data for ongoing recruitment nurturing.

3. SEO Optimization

  • Researched and embedded keywords relevant to teaching careers in Vancouver and Canada.

  • Optimized site architecture, metadata, and content for job seekers.

  • Improved organic discoverability so candidates searching for teaching jobs found CISVA directly rather than through third-party boards.

4. Immigration Integration

  • Highlighted CISVA’s ability to support immigration and pathways to Canadian citizenship, a competitive advantage for international educators.

  • Aligned messaging with recruitment campaigns targeting international candidates.

Execution

I managed the project end-to-end, handling all creative, technical, and strategic tasks:

  • Designed and coded the careers landing page.

  • Produced ads (copy, design, video reels) for Meta and integrated tracking pixels.

  • Set up analytics dashboards to monitor campaign performance.

  • Optimized SEO for job-seeker search queries.

  • Connected immigration services messaging into recruitment campaigns.

  • Trained internal stakeholders on how to manage listings and update content.

Results

  • Centralized Careers Hub: For the first time, CISVA owned a branded recruitment platform instead of relying on external job boards.

  • Increased Applicant Quality: Candidates were pre-filtered through CISVA’s own site, reducing drop-off to competitors.

  • Improved Discoverability: SEO optimization led to higher rankings for teaching jobs in Vancouver, bringing in organic candidates.

  • Retargeting Funnel: Meta Pixel tracking enabled follow-up campaigns to re-engage visitors who didn’t apply immediately.

  • Global Talent Attraction: Integration with immigration pathways strengthened CISVA’s ability to recruit internationally.

  • Competitive Differentiation: CISVA could now showcase its unique culture and values, not just compete on job titles and salary.

Conclusion

By building careers-catholiceducation.com and linking it to a full recruitment funnel, I transformed CISVA’s talent acquisition from a reactive job board model into a strategic, branded, and data-driven system. This project allowed CISVA to control its messaging, capture candidate data, and retarget top talent, while highlighting immigration pathways as a competitive advantage.

Delivered independently, this initiative demonstrated my ability to combine digital strategy, technical execution, advertising, and brand positioning to solve a complex business challenge — securing talent in a highly competitive market.
